1. To protect the paint: Applying wax to an RV can help to protect the paint from the elements, such as sunlight and rain. This can help to preserve the appearance of the RV and prevent the paint from fading or chipping.
2. To make it easier to clean: Wax can create a barrier on the surface of the RV that can make it easier to clean. This can be especially useful if you frequently take your RV on off-road adventures, as it can help to prevent dirt and grime from sticking to the surface.
3. To improve its appearance: Applying wax to an RV can give it a shiny, polished appearance that can make it look more attractive. This can be especially useful if you are planning to sell your RV or if you simply want it to look its best.
4. To increase its resale value: A well-maintained RV with a shiny, polished finish can be more attractive to potential buyers and may command a higher price when it comes time to sell.
Proper tools, washing methods and high quality products are essential for every detail that we do and RV's are no exception. We prepare the surface by giving the paint a thorough wash with microfiber mitts. In addition we may use acid based cleaners or iron deposit removers in order to remove water spots and old tire dust. The longer the RV has gone without service the more labor intensive the job will become. Luckily you have us!
It is highly recommended that you wax your RV every 6 months. Adding protection to the paint is crucial to prevent staining, oxidation buildup, and peeling. For gel-coated surfaces, we use a strong wax and polish combination that turns dull and dry paint into a beautiful shiny reflection that lasts 5-6 months. When working with clear coat we approach it just like car paint. Typically we wax then seal the paint, while removing light scratches on the way.
